Tonberry Materia

So, I was just wondering about this materia, does it have any requeriments to drop? (I'm guessing it drops from Tonberry).

I've killed a bunch of tonberrys in cups and individual battles on normal mode but no luck so far. Btw, could thief help get the drop?

The thief should get a better drop chance with the passive skill it gets. It saids so in the description. And i think somene told me that to. Could always try it higher difficulty to Mav, right XD

I was asking about the thief because I know that for some things that skill has no effect.. also just want to know if it's a matter of kill it 'til it drops or there's conditions for it

You don't get Tonberry Materia by killing Tonberries. You get it by completing a miniquest.

tonberry materia acquired from friendly monster mini quest ...

Oh, I see, I'll try getting all the neutrals and messing around with fairy vodoo now .
